His Plan Provides for Our Animals in Need

One cat named Scarlett changed everything for one of our supporters (who prefers to be anonymous). He started his relationship with Animal Humane Society when he adopted Scarlett in 2006. After having such a positive experience, he started asking questions. "The more I learned, the more I realized how thoughtful and deliberate Animal Humane Society is about advancing animal welfare in our community and across the country."

He became immersed in the mission as a donor, then eventually a volunteer, and adopted two more cats along the way. Knowing how much joy his "fuzzy kids" had brought to his life, he wanted to do everything he could to help other animals and support the mission of AHS.

Recently, he was in the midst of making a big employment change and his financial advisor encouraged him to create an estate plan. When thinking about his legacy, he knew he wanted to include Animal Humane Society because of how impressed he was with our accomplishments over the years. FreeWill (a free online tool to write your will) gave him the opportunity to complete that goal. "Using FreeWill was easy and walked me through the process in a clear way." It helped him make decisions and brought up questions he hadn't previously thought about, like planning for his current pets.

We are forever grateful for those who plan for the future of animals like Scarlett. If you would like information about including AHS in your estate plan or joining the Legacy Circle, I am here to help. And I'm a Legacy Circle member too!
