A Legacy of Love

Bernadette as a child holding a cat

Can you remember when your love for animals began?

Bernadette recalls when she was a little girl and would hug her kitten so tight. “I remember my first cat, Pedro, at the age of 3 and that passion for animal welfare has carried on for my entire life,” recalls Bernadette.

Bernadette’s most recent adoption of a senior cat, Rosie, brought so much love into her home and reminded her of how animals play such important parts in our lives.

Her love for animals moved Bernadette to name Animal Humane Society as the beneficiary of her retirement account. “I aspire to make sure that every ’Rosie‘ has a caring home in the future.”

Including AHS as the beneficiary of a retirement account is an easy way to commit to a legacy of love for animals.
