Animal Humane Society Receives Special Bequest Gift

A man named Jeff recently visited Animal Humane Society with a letter in his hand. It read:

Hello. My name is Patty Botes and I would like to introduce you to my brother, Jeff, who is here to fulfill a task that I delegated to him before I passed away in December 2012.

I have been an animal lover all my life and made a home for several rescue cats that became my family.

I have always admired the caring work of the Animal Humane Society and had been a substantial contributor in the past. In order to keep your wonderful mission going forward, I instructed my brother to sell my house and to present the proceeds ($145,000) to the Animal Humane Society. Please use it to carry on with the care and compassion that you have given to unfortunate animals for so many years. It made my heart very happy to be able to help.

Patty's generous bequest will be used to continue the work at Animal Humane Society that she loved so much.
